Український фестиваль і... листівка з ракушками... Sea Shels

Привітики! 

Як минули ваші вихідні? Ми були на вихідних на першому в Оттаві українському фестивалі. Нам надзвичайно сподобалося. Організатори попрацювали на славу. Чого лише вартували понад 20 тисяч наліплених вареників! Порцію вареників можна було купити ось за такі "талони".

How was your weekend? We had a very fun one thanks to the first ever Capital Ukrainian Festival. We loved it! Everyone worked so hard on it, well done! Imagine, ladies made over 20 thousands of pierogi. And they almost sold out in the first day. What a success! Everyone could have some yummy Ukrainian food by purchasing these fun tickets in Ukrainian Flag colours.

На фестиваль ми поїхали роверами, усі п'ятеро. На жаль, спільного фото на роверах не маю. А я з донею їздимо ось так. Правда, я цього разу вбрала поверх своїх велокапрі ще й спідницю, щоби не почуватися голою )))

Even though the forecast wasn't the best that day, we decided to take bikes. A family of five on bikes wearing Ukrainian t-shirts going to the UkrFest. Fun family look. ;)

Не встигли ми прибути на фестиваль, як почалася гроза, з блискавками та громом, але тривала недовго, та й фестивалю не позаважала. Гурти виступали під величезним наметом. Вийшло дуже камерно й водночас драйвово. Грали Lemon Bucket Orchestra.

Few minutes after we came and walked around the thunderstorm started. Luckily it wasn't too long and there was a plan B for the Lemon Bucket Orchestra who sang under the big tent instead of the stage. It was absolutely fantastic. Very cozy atmosphere and amazing slavic (not just Ukrainian) music.

До речі, ми не змокли, бо вчасно купили велику синьо-жовту парасолю. 

Btw we didn't get wet, cause we bought ourselves the very last one blue and yellow big umbrella. 

На фестивалі можна було купити безліч різних товарів, мед, свічки зі справжнього воску, різні українські страви, національні строї, іграшки, ну і звичайно часник, як же без нього. ;)
There was lots of great vendors at the CapUkrFest. One could buy all kinds of food, pastry, national clothing, some modern clothes with Ukrainian prints and embroidery, honey, garlic (there can be no UkrFest without garlic! ;) ) and lots more.

Після дощу на сцені грала "Зірка", а під самою сценою був майданчик для танців. Діти навіть дали нам із чоловіком потанцювати два танці. А тоді ми почали збиратися додому, бо близько дев'ятої наші дітки вже робляться дуже плаксиві.
After the rain Zirka was performing on stage and people had lots of fun dancing in front of the stage. Our kids were sitting nicely for a little and even let me and my husband dance few dances. After that we headed home as it was already past my kids' bed time.

Отакі мої встидливі й трохи змучені малята. Старшого на фото нема, бо він знайшов своїх друзів і весь час провів із ними.
Here are the two a little tired cuties. My oldest was running around with friends, so he's not anywhere on my pictures. ))
